About Me
My Name is Jessica Ofula. I am a wife and a mother of two boys now adults themselves. I am a person-centred counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their ethical framework. I am also a nurse and specialise in critical care nursing. I am a member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and abide by their ethical framework. In my journey as a critical care nurse, I have been involved first hand in seeing lives changed drastically. I have been there to support those receiving this news and experiencing this change right from the start. Needless to say I have been there when sad news has been broken as well. As a nurse my role in these situations has been to support patients/relatives as they come to terms with what is happening in there lives. This has given me the unique insight of witnessing the change that is happening not only physically but emotionally. As a Counsellor I am able to carry on this support past the hospital setting. My journey started back in Africa (Kenya), where I was born.
